Burgenland: Sun, Wine, and Open Skies

Burgenland is Austria’s sunniest region, known for its endless vineyards, rolling plains, and laid-back charm.

The landscape is flatter here than in the rest of Austria, making it perfect for cycling tours, wine tasting, and slow travel. Lake Neusiedl, a vast steppe lake and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the heart of the region, a paradise for sailing, birdwatching, and relaxing by the water.

Burgenland also has a rich cultural mix, shaped by its closeness to Hungary, with traditional villages, castles, and a strong winemaking tradition.
